Steven Cooney

It was images like this country house scene with Steven Cooney that changed the total perception of surfing in the early 70’s. At the time  after seeing MOTE a hundred times Cooney was my hero, he was the same age but he was  travelling the world surfing and appeared like he had the ultimate lifestyle. I was so envious. I once met him at Tracks a few years later and my lasting impression was he was one cool dude .
