Every surf photographer has nightmare moments. One of mine occured at Pipe on a day just like this during the Pipe comp. Id just set up the tripod when Slater took off and launched into his famous rodeo clown. Stoked I hit the trigger only to find the battery had gone completely dead. One of surfings magic moments blown. Oh well thousands of others got it.
