Panel Vans and Highway Surfers.

The Holden Sandman panel-van was every highway surfers dream ride. These sin bins had the boards bolted to the roof and the majority of Westy owners who drove them  never went closer to the ocean than the concrete beach-side car park. 45 degree roof racks, fluffy dice and shag pile carpet in the back made them the ultimate hoon machine. In the 70’s these chick magnet panel vans were in high demand but unfortunately most dole bludging surfers could not afford one.
