Jim Hogan

San Clemente’s Jim Hogan was apart of the American NSSA push in the early to mid 80’s that saw America once again rise up as a dominant competitive surfing nation. Along with Curren, Archy, Frohoff and many others Hogan was a super competitive surfer on tour. There was one story about how Occy wanted to punch out Hogan. That was until he found out that the small framed (no relation to Hulk Hogan) American was once a champion wrestler back at home. This shot was taken at The Spot a dry sucking rock ledge just south of Sydney around ’83.
