Kelly Slater

This day on the Northshore was a bit stormy and partly cloudy. Nobody was out when I spied Kelly Slater venture out at Beach Park on his own. I was the only photog around so I set up and shot some pics. Californian surf photographer Russell Hoover arrived and incredulously asked me why I was shooting on such a below average Northshore day. Just then Slater whipped this turn, “That’s why” I replied.
