Barrier Reef Trip

A sponsor paid  surf trip to the Barrier Reef in a 50ft luxury cruiser sounds too good to be true. That is until you get caught in a cyclone miles out to sea and your boat  feels like a bottle cap as waves the size of skyscrapers throw you around at its mercy. This was the scenario for a mission in Feb ’91. The pic belows features Aussie McCiver, Mark Richardson and our guide Patrick about to board our luxury cruiser as we prepare to head out to sea.
